Every year, questions abound about the use of the “lip chain” and its modern counterparts. The confusion is understandable. There are several different versions of the device and different rules regarding its use in various breeds.

Don’t worry. We’re here to break it down for you, thanks to a group of longtime Halter horse trainers and non-pro exhibitors who agreed to share their thoughts on this topic.
