Because the stewards already check in horses for each class and monitor for prohibited tack and equipment, the new lameness inspection takes place at the same time. We watched as competitors were instructed to trot to an orange cone placed in the corner of the warm-up pen, trot around the cone, and return to the stewards.

Six cuts, two semi-finals, and one preliminary final later and the top 15 have been selected to return to the Hunter Under Saddle Finals that will take place tomorrow afternoon here at the 2014 AQHYA World Championship Show. For those of you planning to watch along at home, the Finals are estimated to take place on Thursday at 2:30 pm in the Norick Arena.
