NO OPEN RIDERS ALLOWED! New $5,000 3-Year-Old and Over Novice Horse WP Class Announced For SOQHA Futurity

If you’re already making plans for this fall, you might want to consider the Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association Futurity that’s scheduled for August 22-23 in Wilmington, Ohio.
Judges for the show will be Sara Beth Simons, Sharon Wellman, and Kelly Stone. The event will be triple-judged and include 20+ Futurity classes in addition to $5,000 to be distributed in Ohio Futurity Bonus Incentive Fund classes including:
- $1,000 – 2-year-old open Western Pleasure
- $1,000 – 3-year-old open Western Pleasure
- $500 – Open Western Yearling Longe Line
- $500 – Non Pro Yearling Longe Line
- $500 – 3-year-old Non Pro Western Pleasure
- $500 – 3-year-old Open Hunter Under Saddle
- $500 – 3-year-old Non Pro Hunter Under Saddle
- $500 – Non pro Western Pleasure Maturity
SOQHA added money futurity classes will include:
- Weanling Colts- $250
- Weanling Fillies $250
- Non Pro Weanling Fillies- $250
- Non Pro Weanling Colts-$250
NSBA Futurities will include:
- $500- 2-year-old Open Western Pleasure
- $500- 3-year-old Open Western Pleasure
- $500- 3-year-old Open Hunter Under Saddle

Big news for this year’s show is the announcement of the new $5,000 3-Year-Old and Over Novice Horse Western Pleasure class. The winner of this class will receive $5,000, and the purse will be paid down six places. NO OPEN RIDERS will be allowed to compete. This class is ONLY for LIMITED, INTERMEDIATE, and NON-Pro competitors.
Enter by August 10th for $500. Entries will also be accepted at the show by 5 pm on Friday, August 21st for $750.
