19Grit, Determination and Desire Leads a Horse-Crazy New England Boy to a Career in the Show Pen

It’s a long way from Saco, Maine to Collinsville, Texas, by way of Purcell, Oklahoma, but then again Aaron Moses is a young man with goals, talent, and the grit and determination required for success in the equine industry. At Aaron Moses Show Horses, he offers training, sales, and the opportunity for riders of all levels to achieve success in the sport. He specializes in Western Pleasure futurity horses, but with a wide breadth of knowledge and dedication to his sport, horses, and clients, he is helping horses and riders find success at every level of competition.

This dedicated young horseman has taken the Quarter Horse world by storm in recent years, including an impressive four championship titles at the 2014 All American Quarter Horse Congress. In one of the most fortuitous catch-ride decisions ever, Aaron’s long-time friend Casey Willis asked him to pilot Cool Lookin Machine in the Limited and Open division of the $10K Maturity Western Pleasure. He won both divisions. Piloting For One Night Only, a young horse he’d trained, Aaron also won the Coughlin Maiden 2 Year-Old Western Pleasure and 2 YearOld Limited Western Pleasure. He says with genuine modesty, “I’d done pretty well, getting a couple of Reserves at the Congress before 2014, but things kind of came together at that show. I didn’t go into the Congress that year expecting anything, so when it all came together for those wins, it was pretty exciting, and it definitely helped my career.”

Since then, he’s been making a name for himself as a professional horseman, piling up big wins on a consistent basis including Novice Horse Slot Class Champion at the 2017 SOQHA Madness, Novice Horse Slot Class Champion at the 2017 Little Futurity, 2017 Tom Powers Futurity Champion, and 2017 Premier Quarter Sires Champion with It’s A Pretty Thing. In addition, Aaron trained the 2015 NSBA High Point 2-Year-Old Western Pleasure Horse and third place winner at the 2015 AQHA World Show in 2-Year-Old Western Pleasure, Zippin The Breeze, and the 2016 BCF NSBA 2-Year-Old Open Western Pleasure Champion, Made The Ladies Look.
