The Florida Gold and Gulf Coast, Stars & Stripes and Big A, The Madness, WCHA Supreme Championship, Silver Dollar Circuit, APHA World Show, Halter Million, and the list goes on.

What do these horse shows have in common?

Well, it’s obvious that this list of AQHA and APHA majors includes some of the most beloved, expertly run, and well-attended shows on the circuit. They’re also managed by one man: Jarrett Cartee. But as Jarrett will tell you, one man is only as good as his team, and the new owner of An Equine Production (AEP) certainly has a great team by his side.

Without the help of people like Kathy Avolt, Brenda Dunbar, Tracy Willis, John and Jennifer Kunkle, Robin Robinett, Lisa Lee, Gary McAllister, and Jasper Beitenbach, the AEP we all know and love wouldn’t be what it is today.

Jarrett recently celebrated his 30th birthday in a big way. In 2025, he took over as head honcho of An Equine Production, purchased the Silver Dollar Circuit, and acquired the Florida Gold Coast. He also won a NSBA World Championship and a Reserve Congress Championship, so it was a banner year to say the least.

For the man who has done just about every job at the horse show, from scribing and ring stewarding to running the gate and announcing, Jarrett is now stepping into a new role as the ringleader.
