“Thank you for the overwhelming response to the Solid Gold Futurity Series launch! We have received calls from all over the US thanking us for bringing back the Solid Gold and offering this type of event,” says Event Organizer, Jennifer Sheriff. “Last week, we kicked off the Futurity with our Halter Division and, in 24 hours, we had over half the slots sold. Right now, there are only 16 halter slots left out of the original 75 (25 slots per sex division) so anyone interested needs to contact the office quickly! Slots are sold on a first come first served basis.”

“Jim and Georgia Snow were the first to purchase three halter slots as soon as it was announced. The Snow’s have been very supportive of this effort, and I would like to thank them for being the first slot owners,” Sheriff says. Jim and Georgia Snow commented, “We feel as breeders we should support our industry, and there cannot be too many futurities. We’re lifetime members of AQHA, APHA, founding members of WCHA, and we were fortunate to be part of the original ten to start The Breeder’s Halter Futurity. This new concept for a yearling maiden futurity presents a new avenue for showing and marketing our foals.”

Today, we’re pleased to announce the Solid Gold Performance Series. We’re offering three Western Pleasure classes and two Hunter Under Saddle classes, both Open and Non Pro. Performance classes will be in a nomination format with nominations now being accepted. The goal is to stimulate interest in our industry and promote maiden horses.

The Solid Gold Futurity is holding the all breed Maiden Series in conjunction with the Missouri Quarter Horse Association’s Gateway Classic AQHA Show (6 judges) May 25-28, 2017 at Lake St. Louis, Missouri and will be managed by Mark Harrell Horse Shows. The show schedule is currently being finalized and will be available soon. The Solid Gold Futurity is open to AQHA, APHA, PHBA, ApHC and ABRA registered horses.
