Thirteen-year-old Emilee Yost of Nebraska City, Nebraska, is quickly making a name for herself in not one but two very competitive disciplines, becoming a dominant force in both ranch riding and working hunter. This high achieving young woman has put the same level of dedication and focus into her horses that she has into her schoolwork as a straight-A honor roll student and rising freshman at Lourdes Catholic High School. She is the youngest daughter of Jill and Todd Yost, with sisters Brittany, Courtney, and Kelli, and one older brother, Tanner.

Emilee has been an avid competitor in competition since her Small Fry days, and for the past two years, she served as an American Buckskin Registry Association (ABRA) Youth Ambassador. She recently excelled at the AQHA West and AQHA East Level 1 Championships where she showed successfully in both ranch riding and working hunter classes.

When asked how she manages to master the different skills in two such challenging events, Emilee is modest, saying, “I’m very fortunate to have great horses and trainers, and a family who is very supportive of my passion for horses.”
