Because there was a large number of rule-based recommendations from the amateur, judges, and show and professional horsemen’s committees, those recommendations were being held to be evaluated for information technology needs and timelines. Once those evaluations were complete, the recommendations went on to the AQHA Show Council for review. From there, the recommendations with Show Council input were reviewed by the Executive Committee during its July meeting.

In the Breeders Championship Futurity Two Year Old Non-Pro Hunter Under Saddle, Rebecca Kazakevicius and Not Just Anyhoo took the futurity trophy cup. It was their third BCF win of the show, having won the Breeders Championship Futurity Limited Open Two Year Old Hunter Under Saddle earlier in the week with Kazakevicius in the irons, and winning the Breeders Championship Futurity Open Two Year Old Hunter Under Saddle with Beth Case.

After the first round of competition, the top 12 cowgirls will advance on to the finals, where they will be paired with a VIP celebrity shooter from the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame, local media, and other high profile influencers in the western industry. These VIP cowgirls will be donating their time to compete and raise money for the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.

Taking place in conjunction with the Northeast Connection Zone 7 Zone-O-Rama, a well-established Paint Horse show that was one of the Top 20 competitions in the country in 2013, the Northeast Paint Horse Championship featured a select slate of 17 classes designed to recognize and reward exhibitors who reside in the northeastern United States. Championship classes were selected by the Zone 7 show based on popularity in the region.
