Riders, age 11-19, competed individually in Hunt Seat on the Flat, Western Reining and Western Horsemanship classes. IEA’s format requires each rider to draw a horse on the day of the competition and, with no opportunity to familiarize himself or herself with the horse, step into the show ring.

The All American Quarter Horse Congress in collaboration with Ohio Quarter Horse Racing Association, announces the return of The Congress Futurity Stakes Race – $15,000 Added $$ – Two Year Olds of 2014 – 350 Yds. Trials will run in September, two weeks prior to the finals, with $1,000 added. The Futurity finals are slated for October 6-9th, to be announced and held at Belterra Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.

University of Findlay’s Annual Spring Horse Sale Scheduled For April 23rd

Approximately 60 horses, many trained under the guidance of the University’s renowned instructors will be offered. Many two year old western pleasure prospects, all-around horses, green reiners, ranch horses, hunters under saddle, and lesson horses are available. Graduating seniors will hold a western pleasure class for their two-year-old futurity prospects on Friday, April 22, and then offer these horses at the sale on Saturday, April 23.
