
The Banixx Pinto of the Month for July is Shyannes Sassy Shot of Bourbon owned by Ruth Deters of Spring Lake, Michigan. Shyannes Sassy Shot of Bourbon, better known as Sassy, is a pleasure-type mare that owns her given name. Deters said that Sassy is feisty but also kind. The duo gives riding lessons to children and competes at local Pinto shows.

a. Equitation over fences National Champion
b. Equitation on the flat National Champion
c. Western Horsemanship National Champion
d. Western Reining National Champion

The 2017 Gordyville Shootout and NSBA Classic Futurity brought AQHA competitors to Gifford, IL. for four days of fun, fantastic prizes, and fabulous purses. The fun kicked off on Friday, July 14th, with the Fiesta Friday Party that was complete with a taco bar, drinks, and entertainment.

Ten outstanding finalists will be selected from the applications to compete for the Y.E.S. scholarships and the title of Grand Champion (receives $2,000) and Reserve Grand Champion (receives $1,000). These finalists will create a video to play as part of their live interview, execute their plan for an educational visual display during NWSS and interact with the public in an educational setting during NWSS.
