Remember, to qualify to compete in Amateur Walk-Trot classes at the World Show, exhibitors must hold a current Amateur Walk-Trot card prior to May 31 of the World Show year. If a current Amateur Walk-Trot card has not been held prior to May 31 of the World Show year, the exhibitor may apply for one at the World Show if the following conditions apply:

The PHBA Executive Board recently voted to add Golden Horse and Reserve Golden Horse Awards for the 10-18 Walk Trot and Amateur Walk Trot divisions at the 2017 PHBA World Championship Show.

An APHA judge and Markel APHA Professional Horseman, Rick McLain of Benbrook, Texas, has more than 50 years experience in the horse industry. A lifetime APHA member, Alison Umberger of Broad Run, Virginia, has more than 25 years of experience with Paint Horses.

These are paid positions with hourly wages starting at $10.00 and higher, depending on job and skill level. Positions are seasonal (temporary) and run the duration of the Stock Show. Valid ID and additional documentation for I-9 verification is required. Applicants must be 18 years or older, eligible to work in the U.S. and submit to a background check. NWSS is a drug and alcohol free employer.

The winning bidder will receive a certificate to nominate the resulting Appaloosa foal to be eligible for the Stallion Service Auction Two-Year-Old Incentive classes at the World Championship Appaloosa Show. The Two-Year-Old Incentive classes are offered in halter, hunter under saddle and western pleasure. 75% of funds earned through the Stallion Service Auction, 75% of the funds earned through paid nominations and a portion of class entry fees are divided evenly and paid out in these classes!
