For Molli Jacobs Froman, horses aren’t just a part of life—they are life. Quite literally. Her story begins during the All American Quarter Horse Congress, where her mother went into labor while her father was showing. “I guess you could say I was born into the industry,” Molli laughs.
Raised in a family where the Quarter Horse lifestyle was woven into the fabric of daily life, Molli is the daughter of a halter horse trainer who spent over 30 years building a respected name in the industry. Her parents, both lifelong horse lovers, ensured Molli’s childhood was steeped in horse shows and humble lessons that would stick with her for decades to come.
From her earliest days in leadline, competing at just four years old at the Firecracker Circuit in Tallmadge, Ohio, Molli was surrounded by the cama-raderie and competition that define the AQHA show scene. “I started out in leadline with Max Clason, who is still one of my best friends to this day,” she shares. That early bond, forged in the show pen, speaks to one of Molli’s core beliefs: that success in horses is sweeter when shared with others.
