Lookn Like Trouble Continues Her Winning Streak at 2026 APHA World

They’re now instantly recognizable: the feminine, sorrel mare with chrome ridden skillfully and lovingly by the beautiful trainer, Angie Cannizzaro, dressed in pink. The softness emulating from both creatures – gentle movement from Mya, Lookn Like Trouble, and quietness from her guide – create a remarkable picture of the ultimate pleasure horse.

The industry sat up and noticed the pair when Angie piloted the spectacular two-year-old to win the Coughlin 2 Year Old Maiden Open Western Pleasure Futurity at the 2025 All American Quarter Horse Congress, earning $17,462.85.

“Mya,” by Hay Goodlookn & out of Troubles A Blazin, bred by Ditty Up LLC, and owned by Justin & Julie Wolf Voge, followed it up at the 2025 Congress with a unanimous win in the Super Sires 2 Yr Old Western Pleasure Breeders Purse, earning a check for $10,000.

But could they do it again at the AQHA World Show just a few weeks later? Indeed they proved they could, as the pair won the L3 2-Year-Old Western Pleasure at the AQHA World Championship Show.

In 2026, Angie and Mya proved they were in it for the long run, winning the $2,000 Added Three Year Old Open Western Pleasure Futurity and Intermediate Rider Bonus at The SOQHA Madness, earning $1,222.40.

Then when they hit the 2026 APHA World Championship Show in June, they were crowned unanimous champions in the Breeders’ Trust 3-Year-Old Western Pleasure Stakes, a very tough pen of horses.

Owner Justin Voge, no stranger to Western Pleasure, rode Mya to win the Non-Pro 3-Year-Old Western Pleasure Sweepstakes Sunday at APHA World, maintaining her undefeated status. They’d shown together in Venice, Florida, in January, winning the 3YO Non Pro Western Pleasure there.

Justin says the reason behind the success is a combination of Angie’s talent and Mya’s genetics.  “She’s out of a great mare, and Hay Goodlookn has proved himself to be a very, very good sire,” he explains. Plus, he says, she’s like driving a Maserati.

“We’re just unbelievably lucky,” adds Julie Voge.  “I mean, that’s all I can say. It’s just amazing, and we’re so happy and so blessed. Justin did an awesome job piloting her and Angie has done a great job.”

The bond between Angie and Mya is obvious, and Julie explains what has made the winning combination is “Angie’s letting her do her thing that she wants to do naturally and fine tuning it and making it presentable. And they just get along so well. I’ve never seen her show this one and not smile, you know? I mean, it’s just awesome to watch the two.”

Justin, who is a repro vet, reveals there will be three babies from Mya next year; one is by Heart Stoppin (2016 AQHA/APHA Stallion, RL Best of Sudden x One Hot Mouse), and two by When N Where (2020 AQHA/APHA Sorrel Stallion, VS Code Red x One Hot Mouse).

Otherwise, Julie says they are taking one day at a time. “You never know what tomorrow’s going to bring, so we’re going to relish this win and we’re super excited. This mare means so much to all of us. She’s just a blessing and we’re just lucky to have her in our lives.”
