Continue reading …The equestrian world does not have an exact corollary effort, but veterinarians, horse owners and other stakeholders acknowledge the increasing impact of asthma and allergies on the equine population. One example is adoption of the term “Equine Asthma Spectrum” a few years ago. The intent by the veterinary community is to improve awareness and understanding by aligning descriptions of the progression of asthma in horses with those in people.
Continue reading …One of the fun events at the show was the presentation of scholarships for Zone 5 APHA members pursuing a college degree. In order to qualify, the APHA member must live within one of the Zone 5 states, be enrolled in college full-time with a minimum of 12 credit hours, and have at least a 2.5 GPA. For 2021, there were three $700 scholarships available to be awarded in each of the states within Zone 5 with a potential maximum of 15 scholarships. $10,500 was awarded this year!
