The Adequan® Select World, which is slated for August 27-31 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, features the world’s top amateur riders, age 50 and over, and their American Quarter Horses. With the new location of the 2019 Adequan® Select World comes several improvements, including a shortened show schedule. Classes will be held in the John Justin Arena and W.R. Watt Arena, condensing the show from nine days to five.

“If a dog is picking up its feet or seems reluctant to walk this may be a sign that he/she is too cold. Small and short-haired dogs may need coats for short walks in cold, windy weather. They may need boots if they will be outside for longer periods of time,” Collins says. ”Dogs that live in areas where salt is used to control ice may need boots or to have their feet washed off when coming indoors. Longer-haired dogs may collect ice and snow on their feet, so check them regularly while outdoors. And consider trimming the fur on the feet to help prevent ice accumulation.”

I think a good quality, clean, well-shaped hat can really make the difference. People see you in the show pen for a few minutes. They don’t know your story, your love for your horse, your hard work, or your passion. A shaped hat immediately gives a professional impression. If you’re an adult rider, your head isn’t going to grow anymore, so a good hat is a great investment that will last many years. I purchased my hat in 2009, and I still show in it.
