As much as I wish I could say that these worries disappear the second you move away to college and “become your own person,” they don’t.
Continue reading …A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and contains a 15-digit numerical code unique to that horse which can never be altered. The ID numbers are very much like an automobile’s VIN number and provide a reliable way to verify a horse’s identity. In horses, the microchip is implanted into the nuchal ligament in the neck, using a syringe-like device.

Galyean has served AQHA in a number of capacities, being a member of numerous committees, including the AQHA Animal Welfare Commission, AQHA Professional Horseman’s Committee and the AQHA Show Violations Hearing Committee. While serving AQHA, Galyean also served as a past president of the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association and National Snaffle Bit Association, and is currently a director-at-large for OkQHA.
