Top 16 Named in Sun Circuit National Championship- Showmanship & Horsemanship

The Sensational 16 have been named in the Arizona Sun Circuit’s inaugural National Championship- Showmanship and Horsemanship divisions.

Earlier this year, the Sun Circuit announced the creation of the National Championship tournament in Showmanship, Equitation, and Horsemanship. In order to determine which exhibitors would be eligible to compete, an anonymous Ranking Committee, consisting of judges and trainers from around the country, was created. The Committee created a list of the top 64 competitors in each division of youth, amateur, and select, in July and again in December. Exhibitors who placed in the top 5 circuit standings at major shows around the country, in addition to shows like the NSBA World Show, AQHA World Show, and Color Breed World Shows, were included on the list.

The Tournament has begun at the Sun Circuit that’s currently underway in Scottsdale, Arizona, and the Sensational 16 in Showmanship and Horsemanship have been named. Round 2 in Showmanship will pare the list down to the Exceptional 8 today. Later on in the week, the list will be narrowed down to the Final Four and ultimately the National Champion.

The National Championship for Youth Showmanship will take place on Thursday. Round 1 of Horsemanship took place yesterday and round 1 of Equitation will take place today.
