The PtHA Wrangler Exhibitor of the Month for February is Penelope Martin of Melbourne, Florida. Penelope grew up with every type of livestock, except a horse, on a farm in Kokomo, Indiana.

“It was my lifelong dream to have my own horse,” she said. When Penelope’s husband proposed to her, he promised that if she married him, he would buy her a horse. On their 40th Anniversary, he surprised her with a 6-month-old Pinto named Kokomo Dream. Kokomo is now a 5-year-old gelding. They compete in the Walk-Trot division, showing in: Western Pleasure, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Trail, Color, and Halter classes at the Florida Paint Horse club shows, Pinto shows, and open events. “I’m proud of our accomplishments and look forward to competing at the Pinto World Championships,” she says.
