Spanish Dawns Dude is a 1993 chestnut gelding by Spanish Desperado and out of Texijuanas Dawn by Samson T Dude. The pair showed in team penning and ranch sorting. York and Spanish Dawns Dude placed eighth in ranch sorting, along with his wife, Sharron, who showed Suerte Lena.

Tracer Gilson won the Level 4 with Da Big Kahuna (Wimpys Little Step x Princessontheprowl by High Brow Cat). Bred and owned by Joe and Karen Moran of Laguna Hills, California, it was Gilson’s first RBB Level 4 Open Futurity win.

Based on preliminary numbers, more than $90,000 is expected to be up for grabs in Platinum Breeders’ Futurity purses at the 2016 APHA World Championship Show—this is double the $44,500 Platinum purse payouts made in 2015.
