NSBA Big Money Winners at SOQHA Madness Include Gilliam, Dougherty, Armellini, Baker, Paul

The 2019 Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association Madness is well underway in Wilmington, Ohio, and a number of NSBA big money winners have been crowned.

In the NSBA 4 and Over Trail class, Jennifer Paul rode Some Hot Potential to win $5,000 for Emma Brown. The Reserve Champion was also Jennifer Paul with Cruize, winning $2,500 for Stephanie Janis. Third place was Chad Evans with UF A Certain Star, winning $1,750 for Gayle Scharf. Fourth was Jason Gilliam with Whata Moonlite Ride, winning $1,250 for Brooke Granzow. Fifth was Carly Veldman Parks with She Had Me At Hello, winning $750 for Michael Vargo.

Tying for sixth place was Chad Evans with Whose Your Bay Bae, winning $250 for Kelly Birkenholtz, and Chad Evans with My Vital Valentine, winning $250 for June Liston. Eighth was Carly Veldman Parks with OneSensationalCowgirl for Anita Veldman.

Ninth was Jess Bergantzel with Pass Me Good for Tyler Ebnet. Tenth was Carly Veldman Parks with Get The Sensation for Isabella Applegarth. Eleventh was Chad Evans with Sugaray for Ashley Wilson. Twelfth was Jess Bergantzel with Memphis Bound for Koleene Herlocker. Thirteenth was Jason Gilliam with Chocolatey Special K for Kelli Jensen. Fourteenth was Jennifer Paul with My Only Good Shoes for Emma Gore. Fifteenth was Martin Doustou with Only The Good Kind for Barbara Williams. Sixteenth was Jennifer Paul with Lazyboy for Jolene Mierzejewski.

In the NSBA 3-Year-Old Open Hunter Under Saddle, Dawn Baker rode Onn Cloud Nine to win $652.50 for Beth Hartman. The Reserve Champion was Jamie English with If Im Honest, winning $507.50 for Sunni Chernega Duke. Tying for third was Keith Miller with Old Southern Money, winning $145 for Lisa Rosner Benson, and Julian Harris with The Classic Asset, also winning $145 for Karen Ripper. Fifth was Beckey Schooler with Hot N Single for Broc Clark.

In the NSBA 3-Year-Old Limited Open Western Pleasure, Kyle Dougherty rode Chattanooga Lucy to win $800.63 for Alicia Ritsema, and tied for the win with Stephanie Armellini with Shootin The Breeze, also winning $800.63 for Kathryn Frederick. Third was Chad Evans with Extremely Salty winning $525 for Ruth Marie Rowe. Fourth was Katie Buff with VS Red Hot, winning $262.50 for Katie Buff. Fifth was Brooke Granzow with Darksyde Ofthemoon, winning $236.25 for Brooke Granzow. Sixth was Kelby Hutchinson with Kickin It Classic for John Pauluzzi and Robert Fowler with Lopin Illusions for Matthew Main. Eighth was Brian Lee with Best Be In Line for Mason Dorsey. Ninth was Gaven Young with No Doubt Iem Cool for Kelsey Bell. Tenth was Darcie Ann Rapley with Back In Fashion for Rod Jeffries.

Green Trail was won by Jason Gilliam with Whata Moonlite Ride, winning $680 for Brooke Granzow. Second was Shannon Vroegh with Dreamin With Me, winning $467.50 for Laurie Rutledge. Third was Carly Veldman Parks with She Had Me At Hello, winning $403.75 for Michael Vargo. Fourth was Shannon Vroegh with Im Fun Sized winning $212.50 for Ronda Roozeboom.

Fifth was Chad Evans with Florida Georgia Line, winning $191.25 for Ruth Marie Rowe. Sixth was Martin Doustou with Only The Good Kind, winning $42.50 for Barbara Williams; Kyle Dougherty with Don’t Doubt Im Cool, winning $42.50 for Rhonda Lavelle, Julian Harris with Best Az Yet, winning $42.50 for Annette Snowden, and Tommy Sheets with Im Really Classie, winning $42.50 for Elizabeth Maggert. Tenth was Shannon Vroegh with Krymsun Cute for Brockelyn Anderson. Eleventh was Jason Gilliam with Mind On My Money for Janet Gunn. Twelfth was Tyler Schultz with CC Extremely Invited for Jordyn Humbert. Thirteenth was Matthew Claypool with Hot N Sleepy for Alexis Ziemak.
