AQHA Region 9 exhibitors are preparing for the 2017 Merial AQHA Region Nine Championships, which is approaching quickly. The show, slated for June 2-4 at the Kirk Fordice Equine Center in Jackson, Mississippi, provides American Quarter Horse enthusiasts a chance to test their horse-showing skills.
This regional championships features three days packed with a variety of classes, starting with small-fry trail at 10 a.m. on June 2 in the Kirk Fordice Equine Center. AQHA judges Nancy Alto-Renfro, Tonya Brown, Scott Meritt and Curtis Reynolds will judge the event. For a full show itinerary, visit www.mqha.org.
Late entry fees have been waived for this year’s Merial AQHA Region Nine Championships. Exhibitors will be able to enter after the deadline with no penalties.
“These shows are the best way for exhibitors to get their feet wet in AQHA championship events,” said Charlie Hemphill, AQHA director of shows and new events. “Thanks to the help of our partners, competitors will be vying for some great prizes at each of the regional championship shows.”
Regions 1, 2, 5, 6 and 8 will also hold Regional Championships. Exhibitors from every region are invited to attend a regional championships, but an exhibitor may only compete at one regional championships per year.
