The 5-minute countdown clock, combined with the assistance of two grooms and a wheelbarrow full of equipment, has led to hilarity and hijinks in the past! Judges will be sequestered and no placings will be announced until the conclusion of the event.

It’s a cheeky name that has proven to be somewhat prophetic during the past year or so, as this talented 4-year-old gelding has been piloted by owner, JR Cook, and trainer, Cole Baker, to win almost every major show circuit in the country. The big, beautiful, bay named “Calvin” is by VS Flatline and out of Shes Immortal. He was purchased by the Cook family from Capital Quarter Horses, LLC, after the AQHA World Show in 2019, and they’ve had immense success ever since.

All too often, we think positively about someone in our head, but we never verbally share that positive thought or comment with the person directly. We just keep it to ourselves. If you admire someone or their actions, let them know! A simple comment can go a long way. What if Tom never approached me and told me those words? I’d probably still be disappointed and embarrassed about that day.”
