New classes for the show include: Windemere Handy Hunter (youth), Windemere Handy Hunter (non-pro), Windemere Derby (open), Ranch Trail (open & non-pro), Ranch Riding (open & non-pro), Ranch Rail Pleasure (open & non-pro), Novice Youth Trail, Open Green Trail, Open Green Western Riding, Open Green Western Pleasure, Open Green Hunter Under Saddle, Non-Pro Walk/Trot Western Pleasure & Non-Pro Walk/Trot Western Horsemanship.

Riders from around the world will converge in Kreuth, Germany, August 27–September 3 to compete for international recognition during the 2016 AjPHA Youth World Games. Participation in the biennial event has more than doubled since 2014; this year’s event will feature 60 Youth competitors from 15 countries.

In addition to a full gamut of classes at the Zone 2 show—ranked as APHA’s No. 1 show by entries for the last ​several years—16 Championship classes will provide special recognition to zone exhibitors. To compete in the Championship classes, exhibitors must reside in Zone 2, which consists of Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah. Exhibitors also cannot have placed in the Top Five in a halter class or Top 10 in a performance class at an APHA World Championship Show in the past five years.

Hosted by Cross Country Trail Rides, the week will be packed with swimming, fishing, concerts and dances. You and your horse will enjoy trail riding on more than 300 miles of forested and riverside trails. Ranch riding and AQHA Trail Challenge clinics will be held throughout the week, culminating in an AQHA Trail Challenge and ranch riding competition. A covered arena is also available to riders.

WCHA President Luke Castle states, “The conformation horse industry has many notable Palomino horses participating in Halter competition and within many successful breeding operations, so the opportunity to promote PHBA within our industry will be a win-win for both organizations.”

Cutting in Cowtown is approved for APHA World Show qualification—based only on participation, Paint Horses must compete in a minimum number of approved events/judges during the qualifying period, which is August 1, 2015–July 31, 2016. Attend both days of Cutting in Cowtown, and your Paint cutting horse will be qualified for the 2016 APHA World Show in November!

The National Snaffle Bit Association is proud to announce that the 2015 Payout for the NSBA Stallion Incentive Fund is $40.38 per point. The NSBA Stallion Incentive Fund Licensing Program is the only incentive fund in the industry to pay more than $16 per point.

For the second year in a row, the largest growth in APHA members that show horses was the Amateur Walk-Trot division, experiencing a ​10% growth from 2014. The Open/Amateur World Championship Show entries and horses were also up over 2014 numbers.
