Most importantly, entry deadlines are being pushed back, late entry fees are being slashed, and the ApHC has waived the requirement that youth participants must be a member of a Regional Club since so many shows have been canceled as a result of the pandemic. 

The new international section highlights international member programs, events and resources. It will also serve as a place from which international members can easily navigate to other sections of AQHA.com and access relevant registration resources, showing information and other helpful pages vital to completing AQHA business. Furthermore, the international resource pages will house international affiliate contact information, a multilingual resource library, news and updates, and the “On the International Trail” blog.

AQHA Past President Dr. Glenn Blodgett of Guthrie, Texas, will be inducted into the Class of 2021 at the 2021 AQHA Convention in San Antonio. He will be honored at the convention, along with the Hall of Fame Class of 2020, whose induction was postponed due to the cancellation of the 2020 AQHA Convention.

The American Quarter Horse Association and Kindred Biosciences, Inc. have teamed up to bring a new stakes class for 3-year-old western pleasure horses to the 2020 AQHA World Championship Show in November at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. The stakes class will be named after Zimeta, which is the first and only drug FDA-approved for the control of pyrexia (fever) in horses.1
