Gianna Pozzi – Hunt-Seat Equitation

A freshman from Spring Valley, Illinois, Gianna Pozzi will represent Team USA in hunt-seat equitation. She has an impressive riding resume including multiple APHA world and reserve world championships. She has held various leadership positions within Illinois Paint Horse Club and Wisconsin Paint Horse Club, and she is also an AjPHA national director. Gianna is very involved at school as a three-sport freshman athlete in volleyball, basketball and softball in addition to involvement in the Spanish club, pep club and volunteering at her local food pantry.

The No. 3 Oklahoma State equestrian team remained undefeated in Big 12 play for the first time in school history when it took down No. 7 Baylor, 14-6, on Saturday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.

RODEOHOUSTON Super Series athletes competed for a share of $1,748,000 in prize money. Each event champion rode out of NRG Stadium with $50,000, plus winnings from the preliminary rounds.

“I honestly believe ring stewards are the silent heroes who keep our horse industry alive,” David said. “These are the folks who make sure the horse show happens: they see to the important behind-the-scenes issues and ensure horse shows run smoothly for exhibitors, and they keep the show moving and take care of judges so that we can focus on our job of judging the horse show.”

Vital Signs Are Good was a champion and a producer of champions. The 2000 red roan mare was by Zippos Mr Good Bar and out of Vitalism by An Awesome Mister. She was bred by Kristin T. Rinkenberger of Morton, Illinois, and was last owned by Joe and Karen Moran of Laguna Hills, California. She won the AQHA 2-year-old western pleasure world championship in 2002 and continued winning. She earned 13 world championships, eight reserve world championships and eight Superiors. She earned $288,581 before becoming a broodmare.
