This year’s pattern book can be accessed on the World Show website at http://apha.com/oawcs/forms/. Printed pattern books will also be available in the APHA Horse Show Office at the Will Rogers Memorial Center during the show.

“All points earned by all horses and all exhibitors in all classes at all AQHA shows in the past three years are tabulated to calculate the level point ranges. From there, commonly used statistical measurements – such as means and standard deviations – are applied to point-earning horses and exhibitors,” said AQHA Chief Show Officer Pete Kyle. “The result is an objective handicapping system that assigns exhibitors and horses to competition levels.”

Induction into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame is one of the highest honors bestowed by the American Quarter Horse Foundation, and the time has come to nominate men, women and horses for the Class of 2020, which will be inducted at the 2020 AQHA Convention in Las Vegas. Nominations are due November 1, 2018.

The hashtag NSBA Youth voted in for the coming year? #nsbyaComesToPlay. The hashtag describes the intensity of the NSBA Youth and their desire to achieve excellence in all they do. From Operation Gratitude stations, to mentoring programs, to raising awareness and rewarding volunteerism, NSBA kids come to play.

“AQHA is proud to partner with the American Roan Horse Association,” said Craig Huffhines, AQHA executive vice president. “ARHA is a secondary registry for all roan-colored American Quarter Horses, and this alliance will help recognize and highlight these horses and their owners.”

The 2018 VQHA Virginia Bred Classes, supported by the Virginia Horse Industry Board, will again be held with the End Of Summer AQHA Show Circuit in Culpeper, VA. The show circuit will be held over September 14 through 16, 2018.

With respect to drug violations, the Executive Committee has granted AQHA staff the authority to offer individuals who are the subject of a drug violation an offer of penalty from established penalties that have been previously issued for violations associated with specific drugs and/or specific categories of drugs. If an offer of penalty is rejected and a hearing is requested, the matter is referred to the Show Rule Violations Committee (SRVC).
