New for 2020, the American Quarter Horse Association has modified the layout of the Farnam AQHA World Championship Show Trade Show at the OKC Fairgrounds to be more accessible to attendees of the show and to abide by COVID-19 mandates. The Farnam AQHA World is hosting the AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan); AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals; and the Adequan® Level 2 and Nutrena Level 1 championships, which will be held in accordance with local, state and federal mandates November 2-21 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

As a reminder, the event is closed to the general public; however, exhibitors, trainers, their connections and potential buyers during the 41st Annual Triangle Sale can still attend. Vendor booths will be conveniently located throughout the Jim Norick Concourse, Super Barn and Nutrena Trade Show Hall, located in Barn 3. This is in efforts to abide by local health mandates and provide a safe shopping experience for attendees. The Farnam AQHA World Trade Show is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from November 2 to November 21.

Barn 3 has previously been used as a longeing arena for competitors to utilize during AQHA championship shows. With the modifications to the event layout, the arena will not be available for longeing or ponying horses.

“AQHA understands the importance of providing ample areas to safely exercise horses during the show,” said AQHA Chief Show Officer Justin Billings. “We have worked diligently with the facility to offer several alternative options now that the Barn 3 arena is being utilized as part of the Nutrena Trade Show Hall. Exhibitors may longe their horses in the 10 permanent round pens north of Barn 5 with improved footing. In addition, exhibitors also have the option to work their horses in the Barn 6 covered exercise arena and the new outdoor riding pad. The large west covered arena will also be available after the 41st Annual Fall Triangle Sale. Individuals may also pony in these areas, as long as it is done in a safe manner.”
