Under the guidance of new show management team, An Equine Production, the Northern Michigan Quarter Horse Show saw huge growth this year more than doubling their entries over the 2019 event. Judging the July 24-26 show in Midland, MI. were Amber Clark, Tracy Willis, and Kelley Stone-Wainscott.

The American Quarter Horse Association Executive Committee approved offering the John Deere VRH Double-Qualifying Incentive, a special side pot available only to Versatility Ranch Horse competitors who qualified for the 2020 AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships and who also qualify for the 2021 AQHA VRH World.

SOQHA and An Equine Production have done it again, producing a fantastic event on new, temporary dates, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There were a few curveballs thrown, like when rapidly evolving state and city requirements necessitated the use of masks hallways through the event. But everyone complied with the order and continued showing their horses happily, just through smiling eyes.

In July 2019, Ryan and his fiancée, Amanda Gately, purchased their dream farm in Shelbyville, Tennessee, located an hour south of Nashville. Now, settled on 33 acres of sweeping fields and lush forest, they’re taking their successful sales, training, coaching, competition, and fledgling breeding program to a new level. Ryan Cottingim Show Horses caters to riders of all levels and ages, from youth to amateur and select. They specialize in Western-based All-Around, but with strong backgrounds in a variety of disciplines, they offer training, instruction, and the opportunity for clients to compete locally, regionally and nationally.
