Inaugural Northwest Paint Horse Championship Attracts New Competitors

The championship, held in conjunction with the Zone 1 Zone-O-Rama in Albany, Oregon, was designed to attract new exhibitors to the area’s APHA events by offering incentives and limited-eligibility classes. The Northwest Championship offered 13 Amateur and Youth classes, which were selected based on class popularity and participation within the zone.

AQHA Director at Large James “Jim” Fleming Has Passed

He was the president and director of the Alberta Quarter Horse Association for many years and a director at large of AQHA. Jim was a founding member of the Team Cattle Penning Association of Alberta. Even when he could no longer ride on a team with his family, he enjoyed watching them compete. He was very proud of his grandchildren and all of their many accomplishments.
