We received the most adorable photo today from Dave and Kim Moore’s Sheridan Oaks Stable summer horse camp in Florida. The kids were crowded around a table with their favorite horse magazines and plenty of kid safe scissors. Look at what publication is on top of the pile! We love tiny Equine Chronicle fans.

38+ Female Trainers to Compete in 2014 American Horsewoman’s Challenge- $28,000 Purse

The competition combines the equestrian skills of Cowboy Dressage, Ranch/Trail Versatility and Liberty. The top ten finishers split a purse worth $28,000. The Challenge Finals will culminate, with an exciting Freestyle event demonstrating the horse-human partnership, lightness, music interpretation and creativity. A panel of celebrity judges will critique and score the freestyle performances in front of the live audience.

The Cross-Country Challenge ride began in San Francisco, CA, on June 1st and will finish in Portsmouth, NH on July 22nd. Over the course of the journey, Paul and his companions will bike a total of 3,845 miles. As of yesterday, Paul is at the 1,725 mile mark.

Largest NRHA Derby on Record is Underway- Photos and Results

Horses are still being entered for the 2014 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Derby Show, but to-date, the event looks to be the largest on record with more than 450 horses entered in the Derby and hundreds more in ancillary classes.
