The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) announces the results of the 2013 Board of Directors election.

Five territories held contested elections. Territory I has re-elected Lori Richards of Parker, South Dakota as the director representing Zone C; Territory II has elected Mary Ann Page of Phoenix, Arizona as the director representing Zone B and Valerie Showalter of Leon, Kansas as the director representing Zone C; Territory III has re-elected Diane Rushing of Decatur, Illinois as the director representing Zone C; and Territory V has elected Todd Davis of Climax, North Carolina as the director representing Zone B.

The ApHC would also like to congratulate the following candidates who participated in uncontested elections in their respective territories: Dena Raggio of Pilot Point, Texas, director representing Territory IV, Zone A; Jack Zuidema of Alachua, Florida, director representing Territory IV, Zone C; Brian Irvin of Fall Branch, Tennessee, director representing Territory V, Zone A; Debora Ann Dyer of Blacksburg, Virgina, director representing Territory V, Zone C; and Chuck McWhirter of Newton, New Jersey, director representing Territory VI, Zone C.

The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) was established in 1938, with a mission of preserving, promoting and enhancing the Appaloosa breed. The ApHC has since registered nearly 700,000 Appaloosas, which are known for their distinctive color, intelligence and even temperament.
