Underwater Horse Sculptures Will be Revealed Only by the Rising Tide

BeachThe Rising Tide is the perfect name for underwater eco-sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor’s new art installation that sits on the banks of the Thames River in London. The piece was commissioned for the Totally Thames festival, which began Sept 1st and will continue until Sept 30th.

The four horses and their riders, two businessmen and two children, will only be visible to the eye at low tide. In this piece, Taylor sought to highlight the role The Thames River has played in shaping London’s history.
