Interview with Aaron Moses:
Q: Tell me a little bit about your ride. How did it feel, and what were you expecting?
A: He’s gotten better every time I’ve shown him, I think. He gets more solid, and he knows his job. So, I was happy with him today.
Q: What’s your plan for the rest of the year after this?
A: He’s going to show at the Congress and possibly the World Show. After that, we don’t really have a plan.
Q: Can you tell me a little bit about him and his training? How do you approach working with him and managing his mindset going into a show?
A: He’s the kind of horse that’ll be a little bit mentally fresh, but he gets physically tired. So, you kind of have to manage keeping his mind right without wearing his body out. But he’s really easy to get ready. He doesn’t take a whole lot of riding. Less is more most of the time.
Q: Is there anything you do to work his mind without tiring out his body?
A: Not really. I do a lot of short rides with him. I’ll bring him out two or three times rather than doing one big ride. It just kind of mellows him.
