“The wheel is come full circle, I am here.”
– William Shakespeare

Back in 2008, before a young Cody Parrish could even drive, he was on his way to the Redbud Spectacular with his mom, Candy Parrish of Parrish Quarter Horses in Pavo, Georgia. “Bret didn’t want me to drive the whole way to Oklahoma myself,” Candy explains, “so he had us stop at Masterson Farms and spend the night.” It was there in Somerville, Tennessee where Candy first saw KM Hot Number–who was born that night.

They knew right then the spectacular filly by RL Best Of Sudden and out of Shes Sultry Hot (by Hotrodders Jet Set) was special, so they watched “Sultry” again when they stopped on their way back from the Redbud, and they bought her as a weanling that year for Sonny and Alice Douglas.

Since then, not only has Sultry set the pace as a 2-time Congress Champion and futurity champion with Bret Parrish with earnings of her own of $17,565, but her 12 AQHA foals have since earned $200,325.

Most prominently, her offspring by $3 Million Dollar Sire Machine Made include greats such as the Multiple World and Congress Champion 2015 gelding Air Ryde, winning in Western Pleasure, Western Riding, and Trail with earnings of $51,490. The cross also gifted the industry with 2022 AQHA Reserve Superhorse Nothin But Nett, a 2017 Stallion with earnings of $88,473, and multiple World and Reserve titles of his own in Trail, Western Riding, Western Pleasure, and Performance Halter Stallions.
