JUDGES AND SHOW CREW SELECTED

Per Worldwide Paint Horse Congress Chair Casey West, “Having Karen Kennedy accept the role as Show Manager this year is a real asset. Not only is she familiar with the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex, she has a great working relationship with the facility staff. Not to mention that she stages successful shows and Paint exhibitors are well acquainted with her.”

In addition to Karen, the staff will include experienced ring stewards in Mike Englebrecht, Bryan Bergeson, Meri Lemay, and Kate Griffiths. They are well versed in their duties and familiar faces to Paint Horse exhibitors. Diane Gage and her staff will manage the show office with Mark Newton and Sam Westfall manning the announcer’s stand. A new addition is Gary Moore, paddock manager.

Judges for the first POR kicking off with Halter on Wednesday are Mike Hachtel, Chris Thompson, John Boxell, and Lisa Ligon. The second POR set will include Tim Finkenbinder, Scott Neuman, Stephanie Lynn, and Kenny Hall.

Robert Dehn has again been contracted to handle all Trail responsibilities and Doctor Dave Wiggin will be onsite for farrier needs.

WORLD SHOW QUALIFYING STATUS

The WWPHC and the Green Country PHC shows will count as separate shows for qualifying purposes. WWPHC will count for up to two shows and Green Country will count for up to two shows for a total of four qualifying events.

TOP HALTER HORSES TO BE CROWNED

An addition to the Congress program is the WCHA sanctioned event, the Lynn Simons Memorial Futurity which includes Non-Pro Yearling Stallions, Non-Pro Yearling Mares, and Non-Pro Yearling Geldings for APHA regular registry and solid paint bred horses, along with an overall Champion of Champions Open Yearling/Lynn Simons Memorial class.

An Elite Congress Halter Champion will be named from the Grand Champions of all sex divisions under all eight (8) judges.
