Jesse Jones wins first L3 Senior Western Riding Congress Championship with Call Her Daddy

In the last class of the day on Wednesday, October 15th at the 2025 All American Quarter Horse Congress, Jesse Jones piloted Call Her Daddy to a win in the L3 Senior Western Riding for owner Katie Shepherd.

“I’ve won the Level 2 Senior Western Riding before, but not the level three,” explains Jesse. He adds that “Susie” is pretty much perfect.  “She has the best personality, she loves people, and she tries very, very, very, very hard. I love her,” he says. When asked if he’s getting much sleep at the Congress, Jesse admits he’s only getting a few hours a night, but, “It’s worth it for this!”

Maestas Show Horses bought Susie, by VS Flatline and out of HP Goody Gumdrops, from Simons Show Horses as a three year old, and she’s eight now, so they’ve had her in their program for quite a while, he explains.  “She has wonderful owners – the Shepherds are great customers.”

Next up for the team is Senior Trail, and then Trish Shepherd will show Susie in the Novice (L1) Western Pleasure.
