Des Moines, IA – September 17-25, 2025:
The Iowa Ranch Horse Association returns to the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, IA, for the 7th annual IQHA Fall Ranch Horse Futurity, September 17-21, 2025. This exciting event draws horse and riders from 13 states across the Midwest from as far away as
Colorado and South Dakota.
In 2024, riders and owners were awarded over $198,000 in cash and prizes. “Last year, the show had over $2,500,000 impact on the economy. Of that, $1,269,000 was just here in the Des Moines metro. This is a great opportunity for owners and riders to promote their talented horses both here in Iowa and across the country,” said board Co-President Scott Schumann.
The event is free to the public to watch. Saturday night main event in the Jacobsen Arena will host the fast pace working cow horse. See cowboys and cowgirls show off their expert ranch skills that you would see on working ranch.
