Everything You Need to Know about The Qualifier

Nine spots. One day. The best riders on the planet.
The Qualifier is the final gateway to the 2026 The Run For A Million, determining the nine remaining competitors who will earn their place under the bright lights in Las Vegas this August.
The road to the Million runs through Bosque Ranch on March 21.
The current roster of the 2026 TRFAM contestants reads like a who’s who of reining.
Qualified so far:
- From the Equita Lyon Western Horse Show – Frassa Alessandro
- From the Open Shootout at the 2025 The Run For A Million – Casey Deary Performance Horsesry, Andrea Fappani, Kole Price Performance Horses, Gina-Maria Schumacher-XCS Ranch LLC, and Jason Vanlandingham Reining Horses
That leaves just nine remaining spots to be decided at The Qualifier.
In a typical year, The Qualifier advances ten riders. However, after an injury prevented Fernando Salgado from competing in 2025, event organizers made the decision to allow him to compete in 2026, bringing the number of qualifying positions this year to nine.
This is not a traditional horse show.
