“Walter,” aka The Sweetest Deal, got in on the recent maternity photoshoot while hanging out in the turnout pasture, explains EC Writer Barbara Aitken Jenkins.
“Walter is a real-life unicorn,” Barbara says. “He was adopted in 2020 by my family from the Re-Ride Quarter Horse Adoption Program. It’s amazing and humbling to be able to give horses a second chance at a new life, especially when that life could very well lead to being a walk-trot horse for a little future cowgirl coming into this world very soon!”
