EC Photo of the Day — Living Life Forward

“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”― Søren Kierkegaard.
Pictured is 16-year-old Autumn Smith with her horse, TMCR Red Hot Gun, aka “Beans.” Autumn and Beans have been competing for five years in 4-H District and State, GHQHA, NavaRio, Lonestar School Ranch Shows. and many more. Autumn plans to attend a college that will provide a successful Equine program and Team to further her interests towards Ranch/Reining shows and a career in Equine related courses, explains Tammy Smith.
Autumn has competed on Beans, has raised and trained a young horse she is still currently working with, and is saving for a finished Ranch/Reiner prospect.
Currently, Autumn is sharing her horse with a young student, her best friend, whom is taking lessons from her mom for the 2026 shows, and Autumn will be working to show her young horse she is training in 2026 until her Ranch/Reining project comes into her life.
“I look forward to watching Autumn continue to grow in her experience, her training skills and in her goals as an equine owner and rider,” says Tammy. Good luck, Autumn! If you have a great photo of the day, please email it to: Delores.Kuhlwein@EquineChronicle.com.
