EC Photo of the Day: Abigail Lee and Its Southern Blues

The 2026 AQHYA World Championship Show has drawn to a close, but the memories and our coverage still continue!  Meet Abigail Lee and Its Southern Blues, EC Youth Calendar stars!

They were also stars at the show – Abigail and Its Southern Blues, a 2017 blue roan gelding by Its A Southern Thing and out of VS I Heart You (by VS Code Red) and bred by Eric Felt, won the L2 Western Riding 14-18, which also qualified them to come back for the L3 Finals.

Upon their return, they laid down a performance that also earned them the L3 Western Riding 14-18 Gold Globe, a rare win for a first-year 14-18 youth! Abby then wowed the audience by pulling her bridle and performing her victory lap bridleless with two lead changes!!
