In an ongoing effort to urge Congress to pass legislation to protect Tennessee walking horses, The Humane Society of the United States has launched a new television advertisement calling out Sen. Lamar Alexander and Rep. Marsha Blackburn for introducing legislation that would allow the intentional soring of horses in the Big Lick segment of the Tennessee walking horse industry to continue.

“My Paints are solid as a rock,” Ginger said. “They’re definitely an essential part of our team. They know the difference in the skill level of their riders—they’ll go slower for a less-experienced girl or they can speed up if they can tell you’re confident.”

Throughout the 13-week series viewers will experience one of the best wilderness areas in North America. Four riders, accustomed to a city environment, take part as they meet with different tour guides and hone riding skills while traversing through Banff National Park in Western Canada.

Now, ABC’s Nightline has picked up the story and created a video special featuring Kerr and his family. The piece touches on Kerr’s relationship with his daughter, Kelsey, who participated in the competition for the first time this year and shows how a “wild horse” and a “wild girl” have come together to form a remarkable partnership.
