The H-2B program is used by members of the horse industry, principally horse trainers and owners who cannot find American workers to fill semi-skilled jobs at racetracks, horse shows, fairs and in similar non-agricultural activities.

We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to one of our good friends who is a veteran in the horse industry, Carol Harris of Bo-Bett Farm in Reddick, Florida. For over 50 years, Bo-Bett Farm has been the home to incredible Quarter Horses, like the incomparable Rugged Lark, Thoroughbreds, Whippets, and Italian Greyhounds.

Two 15-foot-high steel models for the largest equine sculptures in the world were unveiled in Bryant Park on Friday, March 2st1 as part of the launch of Scotland Week in New York City. The larger-than-life installation, known as The Kelpies, have been created by Scotland’s leading public artist Andy Scott.

Congratulations is in order once again for our friend and former APHA competitor, Kate Upton, whose supermodel status reached another level today with the announcement that she is the new face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. 21-year-old Upton joined Brown to share the news this morning with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America.
