The winner of the $5,000 Limited Horse Open Western Pleasure was RJ King, who rode VS GoodRide for Brenda Gower and won $3,000. The Reserve Champion was Blair Townsend with KM Zippin Best, winning $2,530 for Masterson Farms. Third place was Aaron Moses with Snap It Send It, who won $1,600 for Twylla Brown. Fourth was Shannon Curl Holbin with Hot and Lazy, who won $1,150 for Bill and Cindy Cosentino. Fifth was Kelby Hutchinson with Don’t Know Don’t Care, who won $1,035 for Capall Creek Farm. Sixth was Jason English with Forever Kool, who won $920 for Stanley and Susan Scott. Seventh was Angie Cannizzaro with Chasing Butterflies, who won $690 for Scott and Linda Berwick. Eighth was Amanda Jackson with Mr. Freeze, who won $575 for Looney Quarter Horses. 

The Illinois Paint Horse Association welcomed in the Spring show season with their Spring Fling that took place April 19-21 in Gordyville, Illinois. Judges for the show were Randy Alderson, Mike Hachtel, Kenny Hall, and Larry Hansch.

The Amateur Champion was Kaleena Weakly with Dontskipmygoodimage. The Reserve Champion was Cassidy Jensen with Chocolatey Special K. Third was Sarah Lebsock with Version of Goodbar. The Select Champion was Tammy Dewey with Rios Marecedes. The Reserve Champion was Marty Hayes with Sleepy Lil Rascal. Third was Sara Ann Fransen with FF Hope Floats. 

The OMIQHA Warm Up Show had a fantastic turnout for the Ohio Michigan Indiana Quarter Horse Association as their biggest show to date. The event took place April 13-14 at the Eden Park Equestrian Complex in Sunbury, Ohio with judges April and Casey Devitt officiating.

In the Hunt Seat pen, Sydney DePauw and All Day Every Day earned a first place finish in 18 and Under Hunter Under Saddle; Laura Spell and LX Just Call Me Fancy did the same in Open Hunter Under Saddle, and Madison Alliss rode Fancy With Time to earn a first in Novice Youth Hunter Under Saddle.
