The Oregon Summer Classic took place June 16-21 at the beautiful Rolling Hills Equestrian Center in Corning, CA. In 2017, this event was the third largest show for AQHA entries with a whopping 9,500+ entries. Only time will tell if the event will surpass that turnout this year. Another draw for the circuit this year is that it was a qualifying show for the National Championship Tournament at the 2020 AZ Sun Circuit.

Laura Bracken rode Born Sophisticated (Sophistication Only X Coalminers Daughter) to win the Color Breed Non-Pro Western Pleasure. Pasley Puthoff rode VS Code Of Gold to win Two-Year-Old Color Western Pleasure for David and Tasha Winterfeld. Stephanie Armellini and Shootin The Breeze won the Three-Year-Old Limited Open Western Pleasure for Kathryn Frederick. The first go of the Maturity Non Pro Western Pleasure was won by Hillary Roberts with Johnnie On The Spot. Reserve was Sara Nimigan with Best Brew At The Bar. Third was Annette Miller with Moonrageous. 

The Level 1 Amateur Champion was Jennifer Olds with Looking Willy Good. The 14-18 All Around Champion was Ellexxah Maxwell with Zips Bossy Chip, and the Reserve Champion was Isabella D’Onofrio with Nearly Chocolate. The Level 1 Youth Walk Trot Champion was Katie Ruffener with Eyell Be A Cowboy, and the Reserve Champion was Eavan Clark with An Elite Repeat.
