“The best part of this is that Fox Lea Farm’s Kim Farrell has bought Huntfield, and she is turning it into a Quarter Horse League full of all kinds of speciality classes,” DeBoer says. “There will be Trail and Hunter derbies, Freestyle Reining, and Freestyle Horsemanship. It will really diversify the program.”

“There’s not a lot you can say,” she says. “People steal. It’s just part of life, and I hate that it happened to her. We will do all we can to find them. I believe in the power of positive thought and prayer.”

Unless and until a stay is granted or AQHA prevails on appeal, the court-mandated rules regarding the registration of clones and their offspring are being incorporated into AQHA’s rules of registration.

“I’ve seen 197 tornados, but taking the drive up to their place that day I was as nervous as heck for some reason. It was because I knew what I’d probably end up finding and it would hit me personally. I don’t wish this upon anyone.”
