Chester and Ann Prince’s 3-year-old stallion, PF Premo, dominated his division of halter classes today at the 2014 All American Quarter Horse Congress winning his age division unanimously and then being crowned the Open Grand Champion Stallion, also by unanimous decision.

Angie’s owner, Frank Berris, was filled with mixed emotions this afternoon. He has experienced some high highs and low lows over the past week. Yesterday, Berris attended a funeral for his mother, 87-year-old Melba Berris, who passed away on October 6th. Although he wasn’t able to witness his horse’s double win today, he received an up-to-the-minute play-by-play, courtesy of his trainer, Joey Shortino.

The Reserve Champion in the class was Luke Castle with Miss Kittee for Vernon Habighorst. In the Three-Year-Old Mares class, Ross Roark was at the lead of Giancarla for owner Vernon Habighorst. Coming in Reserve was Luke Castle with Rockin And A Reelin for Deborah Haarmann.
