When Ashley lost her brave battle in October, the Green Country Paint Horse Club of Oklahoma, of which Ashley was also a member, petitioned the American Paint Horse Association to memorialize her with a scholarship. APHA granted approval, but $25,000 must be raised to fully endow the Ashley Marie Huntington Memorial Scholarship.

Clay Johnson of Stephenville, Texas, took home the prestigious Open Championship title worth $200,000 when he rode Dual Smart Kitty to a 224.5 for owners Rusty and Shelley Simpson, Nemo, Texas.

With new Ultimate Horse awards like Bob’s saddles, a new elite All Breed Halter Futurity, over $3,000 in added money, and fabulous High Point and Reserve High Point awards, this is shaping up to be a great horse show to wrap up the 2013 show season and kick off the New Year.
