Open and Non-Pro competition will be held at the beginning of the two week event in Fort Worth. Exhibitors will compete in a variety of disciplines including cutting, roping, halter, western pleasure, saddle seat, games, hunter under saddle, trail and much more. This year, new ranch reining classes are being introduced to the impressive line-up. With exhibitors, owners, and trainers seeking to earn National Championship Titles, there will be no shortage of hard work and talent demonstrated!

The horsewoman also established a fund through APHF in honor of her niece, Suzanna Nelson; Meredith is in the process of funding this scholarship, “Suzanna Smiles,” in so it can award perennial scholarships. Her daughter Ashlyn, who is now 9 years old, showed at her first APHA Youth World Show in 2018 and won several scholarships, much to her delight.

Of 20 entries, the judges, Holly Hover, Sara Simons, Garth Gooding, and Jon Barry, determined the winner to be Rusty Green with The Beat Gos On, winning $15,000 for Natasha Blanchard. The Reserve Champion was Randy Wilson with Battmans Vital Gal, winning $7,500 for Ron Shelly. Third was Jason English with Sure Am Southern, winning $5,000 for Marilyn White.
