In fact, today was the first time she’d been shown one-handed, in a bridle, in a Horsemanship pattern. “I couldn’t of asked her for anything more. She took very good care of me when I got a little nervous. I tried to let her do her job and not get in her way.”

Owned and bred by Jody and Elizabeth “Spike” Brewer of Wilson, North Carolina, “Benjamin” is a 2016 brown tobiano gelding by No Doubt Im Lazy and out of Shes Inviting. The couple waited to start showing the talented colt until his 3-year-old year, but Spike says a pasture injury and additional complications during healing further delayed training until nearly July.

Bred by Rawlings Enterprise LLC of Summerton, South Carolina, Madonna is owned by Dakota Andrie of Franklinville, New Jersey. Jay has shown Madonna for Dakota a couple times earlier this year, including the recent NSBA World Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
